By 1830 they had moved a little bit north and east, to Wayne Township, Jefferson County, OH. The four oldest children were off on their own, and the other nine were still at home.
Then in 1840 they were in Pike Township, Coshocton County. There were seven children living there, one of whom remains unidentified--no doubt a cousin or farm hand. It’s sure possible—and, in fact, seems rather likely—that somewhere along the way another child or two died as infants. Perhaps sometime some writings of someone in the family will be found that give those details.
