He was born in Frank, Russia, March 10, 1892, and came to the United States in 1913, living first at Greeley and later at Loveland. He married Anna Margaret Willman in Greeley on May 4, 1919. They farmed there and at Sterling before moving to Gilcrest in 1937 where they farmed until they retired and moved to Greeley in 1961.
Jacob was a member of St. Paul's Congregational Church and St. Paul's Brotherhood.
At the time of Jacob's death he was survived by his wife, a son, three daughters, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one brother.
