Nick Battistone of 218 Beallsville Road, Bentleyville, died unexpectedly at his home Wednesday, Aug 15, 1979. He was 89.
He was born March 28, 1890, in Italy and had lived most of his life in the Bentleyville area.
He was a former employee of the Bethlehem of the Bethlehem Mines Corp., Ellsworth Division, having retired in 1955.
Mr. Battistone was a member of United Mine Workers of American Local Union 1190 of Ellsworth and also was a member of St. Clement Roman Catholic Church in Ellsworth.
Survivors include one son, Arthur Battistone of Bentleyville; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Zumpetta and Mrs. James (Pearl) Gibson, both of Bentleyville; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Battistone was preceded in death by his wife, Filomena Rusciolelli Battistone, on Nov. 18, 1965.
