Horace Jarrett was born December 16, 1888 in Ava, the son of Disney and Mollie Jones Jarrett. His siblings include Park G. and Mark, both of Rockwood, Mrs. Frankie Hiser of Chester, and Laura White of Ellis Grove. A brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Jarrett was a farm laborer. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Murphysboro. He died at the age of 83 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
