Austrian Monarch. Known as "The Founder" because he founded the Vienna University, and designed the agreement by which the Hapsburgs held the Austrian territories. Buried with his wife Katharina in the crypt of the Cathedral; their damaged monument (originally encrusted with jewels) stands in the body of the Cathedral.
