Larry, 64, passed away Saturday, at his son's home in Burton, following an extended illness. Larry was the son of the late Alexander & Pauline (Jacques) LaPratt. He was employed by Fisher Body in Flint for over thirty years and was a member of the UAW. He enjoyed hunting, watching birds, coin collecting and was very skilled at small engine repair.
Larry is survived by two children and their spouses, Jody & Kristina LaPratt of Burton, Tina Fyke-Jolly & Tim Jolly of Millington; five grandchildren, Sarah Jolly, Alyshia Fyke-Jolly, Dakota Beck, Kailey Nickoloff, Austin LaPratt; eight brothers, three sisters and their spouses, Louis & Beverly LaPratt of Coldwater, Douglas & Mary Sue LaPratt of Unionville, Dale LaPratt of Unionville, Arlan LaPratt of Whittemore, Ronald & Linda LaPratt of Norman, Oklahoma, Dennis LaPratt of Unionville, Keith & Chris LaPratt of Fairgrove, Roger & Lori LaPratt of Caro, Betty Suranye of Caro, Rosemary & Donald Rich of Otisville, Shirley & Cas Lubaczewski of Caro; and many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his twin brother, Gary LaPratt; brothers, Martin, Francis, Gordon and Leonard LaPratt; and sister, Delores Sprouse.
In keeping with Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside committal service was held Friday, February 11, 2011.
