"COBLESKILL. Funeral services were held Friday for Mrs. Marie MacDonald at the Mereness Funeral home, with Rev. Fred Decker of Mayfield officiating, assisted by Rev. C. Walter Kessler, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial was in Charlotteville. Mrs. MacDonald died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital, where she had been a patient for a few days. She has been in poor health for some time. She was born in Summit, September 27, 1863, the daughter of John and Jemima Lamont Chickering. Most of her life has been spent in Cobleskill. She was married to William Seaman, and following his death in 1901 she married Arthur MacDonald. She was a member of the Methodist church, Captain Christian Brown chapter, DAR, the Rising Star chapter of Eastern Star, and several church organizations. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Austin Hogan; one step-daughter, Mrs. Jessie Grant; one granddaughter, Mrs. Donald Huxley; two grandsons, Austin Hogan and Walter Hogan; three great grandsons, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews."
