BAY VIEW, CATAÑO, PUERTO RICO - Jesus Perez-Mandez, 83, of Bay View, Cataño, Puerto Rico, passed away December 3, 2004, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He was born 19 February 1921, in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Emilio Manuel Perez Portela y Alonso and Maria Mandez Ortiz Perez.

He was an original settler and longtime resident of Bay View, Cataño, Puerto Rico, and a founding member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Bay View, Puerto Rico.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as one brother, Emilio (Sara) and one sister, Ana Maria (+ Edmundo) Escudero.

He is survived by his wife Carmen Dora Guillermety-Llorens, and one brother, Rafael Perez-Mandes. He is survived by his two sons, Rafael (Lupita) and Jesus Luis and, one daughter Lillian (Rolf).

He is also survived by five grandchildren, Rafael Joseph (Janna), Carmen Luisa, Francesca Ana, Ricardo Jesus (Bernadette) and Veronica Marie and four great-grandchildren, Caton, Miles, Gianna Rose and Izabella Carmen.

A memorial Mass was celebrated at the San Juan Catholic Cathedral, San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Cremated, Ashes scattered at sea.
Specifically: By the Bay Gate (south) of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The "Puerta de San Juan" just down the street from San Juan Catholic Cathedral. Ceremony performed following the Funeral Mass at the San Juan Catholic Cathedral.
