Mrs. Esther Bragg
THAYER—A longtime resident of Thayer, Fayette County, Mrs, Esther Abshire Bragg, 79, died yesterday in a Beckley hospital following a heart attack. She was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, John: four sons, John Abshire of Sharon, Woodrow Abshire of Marmet, Ovie and Robert Abshire of Thayer: six daughters, Mrs. Ruby McLaughlin and Mrs. George Basham of East Bank, Mrs. Nannie Davis of Maryland, Mrs. Naomi Butcher of Ohio, Mrs. Cleo Apha of Powellton, and Mrs. Opal Jarrett of Sharon: a brother, John Robinson of Meadow Bridge: two sisters, Mrs. Kate Lewis of Oak Hill and Mrs. Grace Abshire of Akron; 36 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be tomorrow at 2 p. m. in the Powellton Methodist Church the Rev. Charles Clement, officiating. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Thayer.
The body was to be taken from the Collins Funeral Home at Glen Jean to the home of Mrs. George Basham at East Bank
at 4 p.m. today.
