Arvle W. Flynn, 53, Hilltop Drive, Science Hill, died Sunday, May 24, at Lake Cumberland Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

The son of John and Flora Flynn, he was born April 24, 1928, in Wayne County.

He was married June 11, 1955 in Rossville, Georgia, to the former Marie Turner, who survives.

Other survivors are a son, Arvle Ray Flynn, Somerset; two brothers, Archie Flynn, Somerset and Farriel Flynn, New Castle, Indiana; three sisters, Alta Edwards, Dayton, Ohio, Sarah Ping, and Katherine Ping, both of Somerset; and a grandchild.

An office manager for Hardwick Block and Tile, Flynn was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Services will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company with the Rev. Wendell Butte officiating.

Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 5 p.m. today at the Somerset Undertaking Company.
