Statesboro - Benjamin B. Hodges, 56, died Monday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The native of Bulloch County had lived in Statesboro most of his life. He retired from the Georgia Department of Veterans Services after 27 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary J. Hodges of Statesboro; a son, Benjamin B. Hodges Jr. of Savannah; two daughters, Mrs. Owen H. Zetterower and Mrs. Diane H. Tucker, both of Statesboro; his mother, Mrs. Russell Hodges of Statesboro; a sister, Mrs. Henry Banks of Statesboro; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church, with burial in Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro. Smith-Tillman Mortuary of Statesboro is in charge.
