Johanna was born September 30, 1923, in Neunburg, Germany, the daughter of John and Barbara Grosskopf. She was raised and educated in Neunburg. In 1948 she moved to the United States. On May 10, 1948, she married Leo Slotsve in Minot. Following their marriage they made their home in Minot. She worked for Leland Parker and Parker Hotel for a time. Johanna entered Trinity Nursing Home in August of 1992. She was a very devout Catholic with her prayers.
Johanna was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church in Minot.
Johanna is survived by her husband, Leo Slotsve, Minot; daughter, Linda S. Adam and husband Daniel, Minot; brothers, John Grosskopf, Australia, and Ernsy Grosskopf, Bruck, Germany; sisters, Barbara Weber, Bruck, Germany, and Julie Rappold, Munchen, Germany; and step-brother, Garhardt Reed, Frankfurt, Germany. Johanna was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Rose Marie Slotsve, and two brothers.
Funeral: Wednesday, January 8, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot.
Visitation: Wednesday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
