Born in Cattolica Eraclea, Sicily, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Giuseppa Caputo Pennino. He came to the United States in 1959, returned to Italy and then brought his family to this country in 1967.
A restaurateur, Pennino established and operated the Villa Nova Restaurant on Harrisburg Pike in 1976. He retired in 1993. Earlier, he was a machine operator for the former Haddad Shoe Co., Lancaster, for 20 years.
His wife, Maddalena Catalanotto Pennino, died in 1996.
