Miss Anna Young Be Buried At Washington
Body Brought Through Augusta Early Yesterday Afternoon
The body of Miss Anna Young, sister of Dr. W.H. Young, arrived in Augusta at 1:45 yesterday afternoon on Georgia passenger train No. 2 and was transferred to the Atlantic Coast Line with Washington, D.C., as its destination. It was thought Wednesday that the three victims of the wreck at Thomson – Mrs. W.H. Young, Miss Anna Young and Miss Gay Young – would be buried at that place today. It was later arranged that the funeral and burial of Miss Anna Young would take place at Washington.

Rev. Dr. W.H. Young's Car Hit By Passenger Train
Mrs. W.H. Young, His Wife and Miss Anna M. Young, His Sister, Instantly Killed – Miss Gay Young, His Daughter, Fatally Hurt
Two women were killed, a young girl probably fatally hurt and Rev. Dr. W.H. Young painfully injured when an automobile driven by him was struck by Georgia passenger train No. 2, just west of Thomson at 11:18 yesterday morning.

Anna Marie Young's head stone and death record gives her birth as about 1857, but the 1870 and 1880 censuses give her birth year around 1842, which fits better with her brothers, Clarence Bishop Young (born 1846) and William H. Young (born 1852). It was not uncommon for a woman to lie about her age if she was never married. Researcher's Note: gfmmillard refers to a headstone, but Anna's grave is noted in cemetery records as unmarked.
