Opera Singer. Probably the least known of the four Harrison sisters, she was born in England after her parents returned from India. Having studied with Victor Beigel, she made her debut in 1924, when her voice was described as 'a light mezzo-soprano of agreeable quality'. An intelligent girl who spoke fluent French and German, she suffered ill-health throughout her life (largely the result of her premature birth), and lived quietly at home until her death in 1983.
