POSSIBLE MARRIAGE date: 1808, Amherst VA to William Smith
Tombstone reads "Sarah Smith wife of William Smith died Nov 25 1857 aged 70 yrs 5 mo. 12 d's William Smith died & buried in Fayette Co. Ky May 28 1828 Aged 65 yrs"
Tombstone stands beside John M. Smith's suggesting Sarah may be mother of siblings John M. (per Clark-Birdsell tree middle name may be Mubry), Robert R., and Abraham Parham Smith. Sarah's sons came to Morgan county around 1835 from KY following husband William's death there in 1828. She may have remained in KY, perhaps with family or a daughter. No certain record of Sarah in IL--yet-- though she may well have died here. The 3 sons are documented; no mention of parents that I've found.
CHILDREN: John, Robert and Abraham ....????
