Funeral service for Gary Allen Scott will be 2 p.m., Thurs., Feb. 24, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Gary died Sun., Feb. 20, 2011, at his home at the age of 66.

The son of Wesley Robert and Rema (McCoy) Scott was born Oct. 11, 1944, in Claremore. Gary graduated from Claremore High School in 1963. He retired from Bill Dorsey Construction, and most recently worked for Daylight Donuts.

Gary enjoyed woodcarving, bowling, riding motorcycles, and fishing. He was also a self-taught artist. Gary was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Gary is preceded in death by his wife, Judith; and his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Cassie Humphries of Tulsa; brothers: Clifton C. McCoy and wife, Fern of Claremore, Ronald Lee Scott and wife, Johnie of Claremore, Chuck Scott and wife, Connie of Tulsa, and Jody Scott and wife, Cindy of Owasso; sister, Glenda Bailey and husband, Robert of Claremore; and close friend, Judy Rea of Claremore.
