Othello worked at Ocoma and Tyson Foods. She was a member of Towering Oaks Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Cathey and husband Larry Birchfield, Cindy Flowers and Connie and husband Russell Overall, all of Berryville, AR; one sister, Merrel Lemon of Corona, CA; six grandchildren, Melissa Summers, Carrie Pittman, Krista Beck, Cody Flowers, B.J. Overall and Austin Overall; seven great-grandchildren, Clinton Summers, Brett Summers, Renee Pittman, Rilee Pittman, Reese Pittman, Madison Beck and Aubrey Beck; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
On December 28, 1948 Othello was united in marriage with Walter Burton Collins who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents, Allen Boone and Malissie Jane Cathey; one brother, Ralston Cathey; and three sisters, Monta Jones, Berine Gibson and Valdean Cathey.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Brother Larry Montgomery and Brother Mitchell Scitern officiating.
