Miss Ruth Culver, 55, of 412 W. Prairie Ave. daughter of the late John H. Culver, prominent public utilities operator, died at 9:10 am Thursday in Decatur and Macon county hospital.
Miss Culver was a lifelong resident of Decatur and was a graduate of the Millikin university school of music.
Her father operated several public utilities in Decatur and nearby towns before his death and was owner of two Decatur business building as well as farm land in this area.
Miss Culver died July 6 1949. Miss Culver was born in Decatur, Aug. 8, 1894, a daughter of John H and Florencae Hight Culver. She leaves her mother and a sister, Mrs .David Shellabarger, Decatur.
The body was taken to Dawson & Wikoff funeral home and a private service will be held at 7 oclock Friday . The family requests no flowers.
