Chico Weekly Enterprise, Friday Evening, July 4, 1890, pg 1, col 7: Cause of Death. Dr. Rodley held a post mortem yesterday on the body of John Bell, who died suddenly in the mountains above Chico day before yesterday. He found that death was caused by a rupture of an aneurism of arch of aorta. The jury under Coroner Bay rendered their verdict in accordance with the above facts. The remains were buried in the Chico cemetery at 10 o’clock this morning, from the undertaking parlors of Fetters & Williams.
