Committal service for Mrs. Anna Belle Schurman 86, of Anaheim Cal. A native of Pekin, will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday in Lakeside Mausoleum. Dr. James K White, pastor of Pekin's Grace United Methodist Church, will officiate. Friends may call at the Noel Henderson Funeral Home from 6 until 9 pm Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Optimist Children's Home in Anaheim, Cal. A service was held today in Backs and Kaulbars Funeral Home at Anaheim.
Mrs. Schurman died at 3:15 pm Friday, Dec. 23, 1977, in her home, after having been ill several days. Born in at Pekin Mar 13, 1891, she was the daughter of Thoedore and Lena Brower Young. Her marriage to Ludwig C Schurman occurred here Oct. 9, 1912. The Schurman's celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last October. They moved from Pekin to Anaheim in 1944. During the years she lived here, Mrs. Schurman was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband and several nieces and nephews. One son, John, died in 1936.
