At his residence, near Harrisonburg, on Thursday evening, the 14th inst., after a short illness, Maj. Abraham BYRD, Sen., in the 73rd year of his age. He was for many years an active member of the Lutheran Church. He was a soldier in the War of 1812 and took a very deep interest in the struggle now going on.
