She graduated with the 1979 class of Norwalk High School. Carol worked as a teller for Citizens Bank of Norwalk for 13 years. She was a member of the Hartland Center Community Church.
She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Edwin E. "Ed" Coy; children, Erin (Billy) Webb of North Fairfield and Eddie (Missy) Coy of North Fairfield; grandchildren, Ethan Webb, Lindsey Webb, Jake Coy and Luke Coy; parents, Glenn and Pearl Gaag; her brother Glenn (Phyllis) Gaag of Long Island, New York. She is also survived by her father-in-law, Burton Coy; brother and sister-in-laws, Larry (Sandy) Wetzel, Terry (Carol) Bell, Kate Schnell, Mart (Diane) Coy and Bill Schnell and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Shirley Coy.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 6th at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with Pastors Roy Wallace and Bob Hudberg officiating. Burial will follow at North Fairfield Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Northern Ohio Chapter, 23297 Commerce Park Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44122.
