Mr. Morgan retired March 25, 1958, from the Pennsylvania Railroad E&M shop, Juniata, with 48 years' service. He was born March 28, 1902, in Dudley, a son of Max Earl and Esther (Hess) Morgan, and married Lou Anna Cartwright on Nov., 17, 1921, in Cumberland, MD.
Surviving are his wife, twin daughters, Mrs. Helen Lafferty and Mrs. Irene Garlick of Altoona; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a brother and sister, Mrs. Virginia Bollinger of Dudley and John of Baltimore, MD.
Mr. Morgan was a member of the Fifty-Eighth Street United Methodist Church and the Eagles.
Friends will be received in the Warren H. Replogle Funeral Home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Morgan - Services for Herbert Earl Morgan of 2601 Oak Ave. will be held in the Warren H. Replogle Funeral Home at 3:30 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. William H. Wassell. Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery.
