Elliot Bryan was the son of Joseph & Lois (Brown) Bryan. He died soon after his birth and was buried in the family cemetery but with no head stone. His mother's grave is not marked either. They are the first burials in this cemetery. Joseph Bryan sold part of this lot#30 (where the cemetery now resides)which is shown in the land records -- " Vol 15, pg 209, 20 Mar 1811 -- Joseph Bryan of Bloomfield for $400.00 sold to Nathan Bryan, a parcel of land in Bloomfield (Now Mendon) off the SE corner of lot #30." "Forty feet square is reserved where the two graves of my former wife and son are". This "reserve" shows up in later deeds also. her husband Joseph died in 1812 and is probably buried in this cemetery also.
