Mr. Eveningred was born March 6, 1889, in Goodells and was a lifelong resident of the Port Huron area.
He was employed in the Box Department of Mueller Brass Co. for more than 20 years and retired in 1955. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and served in the U.S. Army in World War I.
He and Alda Taylor were married October 23, 1920 in Port Huron.
Mr. Eveningred is survived by his widow; five sons, Russell H., Elton R., Earl R., Donald F. and Gerald L. Eveningred; a sister, Mrs. Henry Smith, Deckerville; and a brother, Lloyd Eveningred, Marysville; eleven grand-children, and five great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Pollack-Randall Funeral Home with Rev. J. Alton Cressman, pastor of the first United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Roger, Taylor, Thomas Hull, Dick Eveningred, Fred Eveningred, John Hull, and Roger Popham.
