Martin A. Brockway, 89 years old, an Illinois pioneer, is dead in Barrington, having died of old age. He came to Illinois from New York in 1847 and engaged in farming. In 1887 he had retired and had lived in Barrington since. His wife died March 3, 1908. He is survived by three sons and a daughter: John S. Brockway of Long Beach, Cal.; Lewis O. Brockway, clerk of the Circuit court of Lake county; H. K. Brockway, postmaster at Barrington; and Miss Robie Brockway, Barrington. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
