Mrs. M. A. Brockway, aged 85 years, died Tuesday, March 3, at her home. She had been ill a month of general debility and a recent attack of Jaundice. She had been a resident of Barrington 20 years and leaves a husband, aged 89 years, three sons, Lewis Brockway, circuit clerk of Lake County, Henry K., postmaster of Barrington, and John of Willow Springs, and one daughter Miss Robie of Barrington, James died in Oklahoma, four years ago. The family came west from Pennsylvania in 1840, traveling across country in a wagon through Ohio and Indiana, settling at Lake Zurich on the present Henry Berghorn farm, where they lived about 39 years. The funeral was held Thursday at the home, Rev. Mattison officiating. Burial at Evergreen cemetery.
