Abraham Zelmanowitz. Computer programmer at Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield. That morning, rather than leave the World Trade Center Abe chose to stay and wait for help with his friend Ed Beyea, a quadriplegic.

Last year, a memorial plaque was dedicated to the memory of those
employees, consultants and spouses of employees lost during this tragedy.
This plaque, is set into the lobby wall at 15 MetroTech Center in New York City.
