GATESVILLE — Judy Adcock, 62, of Eddy died Wednesday, March 9, in Gatesville.

Services will be 4 p.m. Friday at Gatesville Funeral Home.

Ms. Adcock was born on Jan. 20, 1949, to Wilburn and Rita Caraway Elliott in Gorman. She went to school in Hamilton. On Oct. 29, 1994, she married Ken Grethen and they lived in Eddy.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Steve Adcock of Clifton; two daughters, Stacey Lowery and Tracey Carpenter, both of Gatesville; a brother, Donnie Elliott of Arlington; two sisters, Jane Glaser of Buckholts and JoAnn Curb of Hamilton; and nine grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.

She was born on January 20, 1949 in Gorman, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Wilburn and Rita Caraway Elliott.

She grew up and went to school in Hamilton. She married Ken Grethen on October 29, 1994. They have resided in Eddy. Judy enjoyed gardening. She was caring and kind-hearted to family, friends and people in need.


Judy is survived by her husband, Ken Grethen of Eddy; daughters, Stacey Lowery and husband, Chipper of Gatesville, Tracey Carpenter of Gatesville; son, Steve Adcock and wife, Candi of Clifton; sisters, Jane Glaser and husband, Richard of Buckholts, JoAnn Curb of Hamilton; brother, Donnie Elliott and wife, Cindy of Arlington; and nine grandchildren, Josh and Taylor Ramburger, Madison and Marleigh Carpenter, Kacey, Karley and Kael Lowery, Hayden and Curry Adcock.
