Burial will follow in Oakhill Cemetery, Oakdale under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Willis, 61, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 22, 2005 in Ville Platte Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Bessie Willis, Sr.; four brothers, Jack, Darrel, John Henry and Norman Willis and two sisters, Jimmie Ardoin and Willie Mae Willis.
He was a retiree of Local Union 692.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Fontenot) Willis of Mamou; three sons, Eric Willis of Oakdale, Walter "Jay" Willis of Mamou and Shannon Willis of Eunice; five daughters, Reachel Fontenot of Mamou, Ronda (Willis) Roberie of Ville Platte, Charlotte Willis of Mamou, Tennille Willis of Oakdale and Tonya Sweat of Oakdale; one brother, Huey P. Willis of Oakdale; two sisters, Apalonia Ashmore and Bessie Mae Bohannon, both of Oakdale; eighteen grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
