Operation is Fatal to Mrs. George Gabeline
Former Mt Union Woman Succumbs Here Tuesday; Burial in Henry County Thursday.

Failing to rally from a serious operation performed about a week ago Mrs. Violelta Zigler Gabeline, wife of George Gabeline, 10 South Central avenue, died at Burlington hospital yesterday morning at 7:45 o'clock.

A short funeral service for Mrs. Gabeline will be held from her home on Central avenue Thursday morning, at 11:45 o'clock at which Dr. W. H. Spence of the First Methodist church will officiate. The body will be then taken to Mt Union, Iowa, her former home, where services will be held from the M. E. church in the afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Reverend Mr. Boos of the Mt. Union church and Dr. Spence .will officiate at this service jointly. The body will be buried at Trinity cemetery south of Mt. Union.

Mrs. Gabeline was born near Middletown, in Des Moines county, June 3. 1867, She moved with her parents at the age of 12 years to a farm home near Mt. Union where she lived for many years. She was married to George Gabeline in 1888 and the family moved to Burlington about five years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, the Eastern Star and White Shrine of Mt. Union.

Mrs. Gabeline leaves her husband; two sons, Clarence C. Gabeline of Burlington and Everett L. Gabeline of Mt. Union; one daughter Mrs. Hazel Gabeline Lauer of Mt. Union; two brothers, Edward Zigler of Greeley, Colorado, and Jacob Zigler of Mt Pleasant, Iowa; and three sisters. Mrs. Ellen Fralelgh of Spokane, Washington, Mrs. Flora Cuddebach of West Burlington and Mrs. Lenna Herrill of Correctionville, Iowa.
