Funeral service for Mrs. Elsa G. Evans, 50 who died unexpectedly at her home in Fox River Grove Sunday night
(Jan 14, 1951), will be held at 2pm Thursday at the Querhammer funeral home in Crystal Lake. The Rev. Draper Bishop will officiate, assisted by the Algonquin chapter , OES, and burial will be in Cary.
Ms. Evans had been in ill health and died of a heart attack at home. Besides the widower, Robert H. Evans, she has a sister & a brother.
∼Born Essie Whitaker to William Morgan Whitaker and Rosa Belle Deweese Whitaker. Although her grave says she was born in 1900, she was actually born in 1890. 1900 was a date she invented, as her husband was younger than she was.
