Obituary - Capt. Frederick Bishop, a resident of Blue Point for the past 73 years, died at his late home, Blue Point Avenue, yesterday afternoon. Funeral services will be held from the home Sunday afternoon at 2:30, the Rev. Dr. Freeman Mills of the Blue Point Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Point Cemetery. He was born in England, 81 years ago, coming to Blue Point with his parents at the age of 8 years. He followed the sea for years and was an active member of the Mid-Atlantic Fisheries Association as well as a Charter member of the Blue Point Fire Department. His wife died August 28, of last year. He is survived by one son, Captain Benjamin Bishop, of Patchogue, and three daughters; Mrs. Lewis Rose and Mrs. John Springhorn of Blue Point, and Mrs. Cornelius Heddink of Brooklyn.
