Daughter of Frederick Bishop and Mary Amanda Abrams, wife of Charles Conrad Springhorn and mother of Adelaide A Springhorn (married Rose), Ethel I. Springhorn (married Beebe), and Benjamin F. Springhorn.

Obituary - Mrs. Frances A. Springhorn, wife of Karl Springhorn of Blue Point, died last Thursday afternoon at the Suffolk Sanatorium, Farmingville, aged 40. Funeral services were held on Sunday from the Blue Point Baptist Church. Mrs. Springhorn was a native and lifelong resident of Blue Point, being a daughter of Captain Fred Bishop. She leaves, besides her husband, six daughters, Adelaide, Dorothy, Ethel, Alice, Desine and Flora, and a son, Benjamin; also three sisters, Mrs. Cornelius Bedding, of Brooklyn, Mrs. John Springhorn of Blue Point and Mrs. Louis Baker, of Patchogue, and a brother, Benjamin Bishop, of Patchogue.
