A Town of Belgium farmer, Jacob Mallinger, 84, died of an apparent heart attack at his 545 Silver Beach Rd., Cedar Grove, home Wednesday, Jan. 17.
Mr. Mallinger was a Town of Belgium native, born on Jan. 17, 1906 to Thomas and Anna Depiesse Mallinger.
He married Angeline Schleicher at St. George Church in Six Corners in 1938.
Mr. Mallinger was employed at the former Koehring Co., in Port Washington until his retirement.
He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake Church.
Mr. Mallinger is survived by his wife, Angeline, his sons, Thomas of Austin, Texas, Robert of Warren, Ohio, Eugene of Brookfield, and Herbert of Franklin, and 12 grandchildren.
He is further survived by a sister, Eleanor Bohn of Belgium.
Funeral Services for Mr. Mallinger were held at St. Mary's Church in Lake Church on Saturday, Jan. 20. Father Donald Musinski officiated.
Interment was in the parish cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were handled though the Eernisse Funeral Home, Dacada.
