Peter Brinkman, 84, of Rock Valley died Thursday, May 11, 1989, in Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 15 in the First Reformed Church in Rock Valley with the Rev. Norman Van Heukelom officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.
Visitation was held at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.
Mr. Brinkman was born March 22, 1905, in Van Putten, The Netherlands.
He married Katherine Gerritsen Sept. 7 1949, in Luverne, Minn. He worked at the Rock Valley Elevator until his retirement in 1967. He was a foster grandparent at Hope Haven for seven years.
Mr. Brinkman was a member of the First Reformed Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Henry of Canton, S.D. and Gary of Sioux Center; two daughters, Mrs. Wilmer (Janice) Faber of Inwood and Mrs. Chuck (Lorraine) Kellen of Adrian, Minn.; a brother, Henry of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a sister, Mrs. Ornel (Dora) Arends of Ellsworth, Minn., and eight grandchildren.
