Funeral services were held Friday, December 24 at the Netherlands Reformed church for Mrs. Greta Brinkman, 77.
The Rev. John Van Zweden officiated. The arrangements were
made by Vander Ploeg funeral home. Burial was in the Valley View cemetery.
Mrs. Greta Brinkman was born in the Netherlands in 1877 and came to this country at the age of 39 and settled in Sioux County. She had lived in this area all of her life.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1851.
She is survived by two sons, Peter of Rock Valley and Henry of Sioux Falls, also by five daughters, Dina (Mrs. Henry Veldhuizen of Doon), Ruth, (Mrs. John Bliek of Sioux City), Tillie, (Mrs. Gilbert Hoeder of Sioux Center), Dora, (Mrs. Arnold Arentz of Ellsworth, Minn.) and Rita (Mrs. Sam Velstra of Hull).
