Ella Ruffin Simpson - wife of Lemuel Wade Simpson who was a male nurse in the Civil War. After his death his widow moved to the Bigler Community, South of Stuttgart, Ark.
Their children were William Washington, Lemuel P, John Thomas, Mary J, Sarah Annie, Joeseph Manning, James Carr, Wade Swift, and Baron Wilco. Ella Ruffin Simpson was one of the first to be buried in Bayou Meto Cemetery at Bayou Meto, Ark.
