Mrs. Edna Jackson, age 90, passed into eternal rest Friday, June 24, 2005, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. The Bulloch County native resided in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. for 60 years before recently returning to Statesboro. She was a retired domestic worker and a Baptist.
She leaves memories to be cherished by a son and daughter-in-law, Dea. Charlie (Bernese) Jackson Jr. of Statesboro, Ga.; six grandchildren, George (Theresa) Jackson, Charlie Jackson III, Pastor Gwendolyn (Bishop Larry) Jones, Norris (Theresa) Jackson, Tharon Jackson, and Curtis Jackson; 14 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Jackson will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2005, at the Whitesville Full Gospel Worship Center with the Rev. Richard A. Lawrence officiating. Bishop Larry Jones, Senior pastor. Burial will follow in the Eastside Cemetery. Hill's Mortuary.
