OBITUARY :
MRS. C. S. LANE DIES AT HOME - Widow Of Bank President Succumbs To Pneumonia Today.

MRS. HETTY McGILL LANE, widow of Charles S. Lane, the first president of the former Maryland Surety and Trust Company, died at her home, 158 South Prospect street, this morning. She had been ill for some time but died of pneumonia which developed Sunday.

A daughter of the late Rev. Alexander T. McGill, who was a professor at Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, N.J., Mrs. Lane was a sister of the late Alexander T. McGill, Chancellor of the State of New Jersey. Another of her brothers, the late John O. McGill, was president of the Hudson County National Bank, Jersey City, N.J.

Mrs. Lane was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Society of Colonial Dames, and was for some years president of the Laura Hughes Society of St. John's Episcopal church.

Two sons survive: Charles S. Lane, Jr., this city and Alexander M. Lane, Washington, D.C.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Episcopal church, the Rev. Dr. Walter Byron Stehl officiating. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery.
