Adolphus died at 75 years of age on January 26, 1937. He is buried in the cemetery of the church he helped build. His wife Martha, his parents, 4 of his children, Fred, Laura, Bertie, and an unnamed infant, along with his granddaughter, Renna, are also buried in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
