Long Illness Fatal For Wife of Head Of Oil Refinery
Bolivar - Mrs. Louella Mehrten Shaner, 72, wife of Albert L. Shaner, president of Allegany Refiners Inc., died yesterday in the residence following a long illness.
She was born Apr. 3, 1868, at Knox, Pa., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Mehrten.
Besides her husband who has for many years been president of Allegany Refiners Inc. and of the Bolivar Board of Education, are one stepdaughter, Mrs. A. B. Piper of Bradford, Pa.; three stepsons, Arthur W., Lester and Fred C. Shaner, all of Bolivar; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Shaner of Pa., and Mrs. Mary liarley {sic} of Tulsa, Okla., and a brother, Lawrence Mehrten of Oklahoma.
Mr. and Mrs. Shaner were married Nov. 25, 1909, at Lamertine, Pa., coming here to make their home. She was a member of the Bolivar Methodist Church and the Ladies Home Missionary Society end Eutterick Chapter, OES of Bolivar.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday in the residence, the Rev. Arthur Partington, pastor of the Bolivar Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
