Agnes was the daughter of Zachariah Griffis and Silence Turner, both natives of Indiana. She was married to Naoma on February 27, 1897. They lived on a farm in Kosciusko County, Indiana, just outside of Atwood. Naoma died when she was 66. She never remarried, and lived to be almost 91 years of age.
