Mrs. Nora Rose Orndoff, aged 65, wife of County Commissioner W. I. Orndoff, died at 6 o'clock, Saturday evening, Nov 25, 1939, at the Orndoff residence at Oak Forest following an illness of 15 months, due to paralysis.

A member of a prominent Greene County family, Mrs. Orndoff was born February 2, 1874, in Whiteley Township, a daughter of the late Eli Rose and Elizabeth Kiger Rose, and spent all her life in Greene County. For approximately three years she was employed as a clerk in the office of the county commissioners. Mrs. Orndoff was a member of the Claughton Chapel Methodist Church (formerly M. E. South) and was widely known.

She was married in 1895 to W. I. Orndoff, who is completing his fourth year as a member of the board of county commissioners. An only son, Kenneth, died in 1927. She is survived by three brothers: Hudson Rose, of Kirby; N. B. Rose, of Waynesburg, R. D., and Dr. E. W. Rose of Hundred, W. Va.
