OXFORD - Rufus Roberts, 43, 7 E. Walnut St., died 9:48 pm Friday at Mercy Hospital. He had been failing in health for several years.
Born in Manchester, KY, son of Homer & Mary Jane Bowling Roberts, he attended Stewart High School, Oxford, & worked in the plumbing & heating trade for several years.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Roberts, Oxford; two sisters, Mrs. George (Hazel) Gilbert, Oxford & Mrs. Robert (Alphin) Capps, College Corner; three brothers.
Services will be at 2 pm Monday at the Marshall-Smith Funeral Home, Oxford. Burial in Oxford Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
