The Newnan Herald has been shown by Mr. W. B. W. Dent, the muster roll of his father the Hon. W. B. Dent, who went from Heard county in 1836 as Captain of a company of 48 men, to protect our southwestern frontier against the Creek Indians. On the roll, the Editor of the Herald says, of officers and privates, there are only two members thought to be living, Judge Featherston of Newnan and Robert T. Dawson, now residing in Louisiana.
