Mrs. Nancy Anna Kinney, 78, formerly of Cherry Street, Waynesburg, died at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 1971, in the Fisher-Titus Hospital, at Norwalk, Ohio. She had not been in the best of health for two years.

For the past several months Mrs. Kinney had been making her home with a son in West Alexander and a son in Norwalk.

She was born in Richhill Township on November 3, 1892, a daughter of the late William Jasper and Emma Smith Chess. Her early life was spent in the Holbrook area and for the last several years she resided at Waynesburg.

She was a member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church, and the WSCS and Women's Bible Class of the Church.

Her husband, the late William L. Kinney, died in 1928.

Surviving are two sons: William Kinney, of West Alexander, and J. Kenneth Kinney, of Norwalk, R. D. 1; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Louie Kerns, of Wisconsin, Mrs. Mary Kerr, of Erie, and Mrs. Margaret Hughes Rush, of Waynesburg, and several nieces and nephews.

One daughter, Florence; two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
