Emil Blank, Lifelong Decatur Resident, Dies
Emil Blank, 64, a lifelong Decatur resident and retired painter, died yesterday in his home, 1054 East Cantrell street.
He leaves two sisters, Mrs. Emily Ferguson and Mrs. E. J. Haas, both of Los Angeles, Calif., and a niece, Helen Ferguson, a movie actress also of Los Angeles. Miss Ferguson sent a notification to Decatur yesterday that transportation difficulties would make it impossible for her and the two sisters to arrive here for the funeral.
Mr. Blank was married to Mrs. Vera Tolle, who died a year ago. There is one step-son, Alvis Tolle of Taylorville.
Christian Science funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Moran & Sons’ chapel. Burial will be in Mount Gilead cemetery.
