DEATH OF PIONEER WOMAN MRS. SCSIE HOLCOMB PASSED AWAY THIS MORNING AT 5:15 — INTERMENT TOMORROW FROM METHODIST CHURCH.
Mrs. Susie Holcomb, mother of Councilman P. P. Holcomb, Mrs. I. H. Garrett and Mrs. J. R. Phipps, died this morning at 5:15. The cause of the death was old age and a general breakdown. Some time ago she suffered a paralytic stroke from which she never fully recovered. The death occurred at the B. B. Holcomb residence in this city and the interment will be tomorrow afternoon at 2 p. m., from the Methodist church, Sprague & Ruppe, morticians.
Mrs. Susie Holcomb was born in Lincoln county, Ohio, in 1840, being
at the time of her death 69 years of age. She has been a resident of
the Wenatchee valley for the past 17 years. Her husband, B. B. Holcomb, one of the pioneer fruit growers of the valley, died a year ago.Mrs. Holcomb was a member of the Methodist church and was held in
general esteem by the community.
